Meet Your Counsellor

A Safe Space to Be Yourself

I am a BACP-registered counsellor and therapist, and at the very heart of my practice are compassion, deep understanding, and unwavering commitment to creating a truly safe space for you. As a person-centred counsellor, I believe wholeheartedly that the foundation of any meaningful, effective counselling experience is the relationship we build together. It is within a trusting, confidential, and gentle partnership that real healing and insight can grow.

I hold the view that you already carry all the answers you need. My role is not to tell you what to do, but to walk alongside you as you unlock them. I offer you a calm, non-judgemental space where you can speak freely about whatever weighs on you, your struggles, your worries, your uncertainties, without fear of criticism or shame. There is nothing too big, too small, or too messy to bring here.

Together, within this safe and trusting relationship, we can gently move forward, finding clarity, deeper understanding, and the direction you’re seeking. I am here to hold the space, to listen deeply, and to support you as you reconnect with your own wisdom and strength.

What You Can Expect in Our Sessions

Starting counselling can feel like a big step, and it’s natural to wonder what it will actually be like. Here is what you can count on when we work together.

  • A BACP-registered counsellor who is professionally trained and bound by a clear ethical framework.
  • A person-centred approach, so the pace and direction are always yours.
  • Complete confidentiality, so you can speak openly without worrying where your words end up.
  • No judgement, no lectures and no pressure to say more than you’re ready to.
  • Time to be heard properly, without feeling rushed or hurried along.
  • Flexible ways to meet: in person, online, by telephone or walking outdoors.

How I Can Support You

People come to counselling for many different reasons, and often more than one at once. I work with adults who are carrying something heavy and want to understand it, rather than keep pushing it down. Here are the areas I support most.

Addiction & Alcohol Counselling

Addiction is rarely just about the substance. It’s often a way of coping with pain, stress or feelings that have nowhere else to go.

Trauma & Abuse Support

Trauma and abuse can leave a long shadow, showing up as anxiety, flashbacks, numbness, broken trust or a constant feeling of being on edge.

Difficult Life Experiences

Sometimes there’s no single event, just a heaviness that’s built up over time. Loss, change, stress, relationship strain, low mood or simply feeling stuck can all be reasons to talk to someone.

Helping You Move Forward with Confidence

Healing doesn’t mean forgetting what happened or becoming a different person. It means feeling steadier in yourself and less controlled by what has been weighing you down. Many people notice they begin to understand their patterns, trust their own judgement again and feel more able to face the things that once felt impossible.

That change happens gradually, through honest conversation and a relationship you can trust. I’ll be with you at every stage, listening, checking in and adjusting how we work so that counselling keeps fitting your life.
