About me
Welcome to Freedom Therapeutic counselling practice. My name is Teresa MBACP, a BACP registered counsellor, dedicated to supporting individuals on their journey to freedom from life’s challenges.
I am committed to providing a safe and supportive space for adults specifically focusing on helping clients break free from the chains of alcoholism, addiction and domestic abuse. I understand the profound impact trauma, (especially childhood trauma) can have on your life, and I am here to support you on your journey towards recovery, healing and freedom.

Online counselling offers the flexibility to access support from the comfort of your own home. Using secure video sessions, you can connect with me in a safe and confidential space without the need to travel. This option is ideal if you have a busy schedule, live further away, or simply feel more comfortable talking from your own surroundings. You will receive the same level of care, understanding, and professional support as you would in person, helping you move forward with clarity and hope.
If you prefer the simplicity and privacy of speaking over the phone, telephone counselling may be the right choice for you. This option allows you to access support from anywhere, without the need for travel or technology. Many people find it easier to talk openly without being face-to-face, making it a flexible and comfortable way to share your thoughts and feelings. You will still receive the same compassionate guidance and professional support, helping you work through challenges at your own pace.
For some, being outdoors makes it easier to open up and reflect. Walk and Talk counselling combines the benefits of gentle movement in nature with the support of therapy, creating a more relaxed and natural setting to explore your thoughts and feelings. Walking side by side can feel less intense than sitting face-to-face, helping you feel at ease while still receiving the same professional care and guidance. This approach can reduce stress, improve wellbeing, and support you in finding clarity on your journey to healing.
